Photographic archive of Late-Medieval timber joints from Hampshire

Here is a photographic archive of the buildings surveyed in Hampshire for this project (Feb 2006 to July 2009). The collection acts as an appendix to the main thesis – “Building in Fear? A re-evaluation of Late-Medieval joint chrono-typologies (c1180-1530) in the light of recent dendrochronological investigations in Hampshire”. The archive stands at just over 100 buildings dendro dated between AD1244 and 1530. The majority of the dates are available on the Oxford Dendrochronology Laboratory website and the Vernacular Architecture Group’s website.
